This website, thebagfolio.com (“BagFolio”, “we”, “us”), is operated by BagFolio (Proprietor: Tamil Selvan), having its place of business at No 41, KS Nagar, 14th Cross Street, Kaavangarai, Puzhal, Chennai - 600066, Tamil Nadu, India. We are the “data fiduciary” for personal data processed through this website under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

We collect only what we need to sell and deliver bags:

• Account data — name, email address, phone number and password (stored as a one-way hash) when you create an account.
• Order data — delivery address, order history, and order-related communication.
• Payment data — payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or banking credentials; we receive only a payment confirmation and reference ID.
• Technical data — essential cookies for login and cart (see our Cookie Policy). We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers.

We process personal data with your consent, given when you create an account or place an order, for these purposes only: processing and delivering orders; payment processing and refunds; customer support; order and delivery notifications; fraud prevention; and compliance with tax and accounting law. We do not use your data for behavioural advertising.

Shared strictly on a need-to-deliver basis:

• Razorpay — payment processing (regulated by the RBI).
• Shiprocket and its courier partners — name, phone and delivery address, to ship your order.
• Government authorities — only where the law requires it.

We never sell personal data.

Account data is kept while your account is active. Order and invoice records are retained for 8 years as required by Indian tax law. If you delete your account, we erase or anonymise personal data not subject to a legal retention duty.

Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you may:

• access a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
• request erasure of data no longer needed;
• withdraw consent at any time (this may stop us from fulfilling new orders);
• nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf; and
• complain to the Data Protection Board of India if we fail to respond.

To exercise any of these, contact our Grievance Officer (Section 9).

All traffic is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed, payment credentials never touch our servers, uploaded files are validated by content, and access to production systems is restricted and logged. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your data occurs we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as required by law.

Our products are for general audiences, but the website is intended for users aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly process children's personal data.
